Way behind

So even though I am way behind in my posting, I figured I should still post some Easter pictures. We spent Easter weekend in St. George with Chad's family to celebrate his Grandpa's birthday. It was fun to spend time with all of Chad's siblings. We then headed back to Vegas on Easter to eat dinner with my family. It's always nice to get away for a couple of days, but it's so nice to come home and sleep in your own bed.

Peyton has experienced her first dip in the hot tub a few days ago. I'm pretty sure she is going to love spending the summer in the Grandma and Grandpa's pool which we are so looknig forward to! She's getting so big, she's almost 9 months old and is kind of crawling....baby proofing here I come :) I swear she wants to skip the crawling and go straight to walking.

Cruising Around

My little girl is getting so big! The other night Chad and I were sitting at the table eating dinner while Peyton was taking her nightly cruise around the kitchen. All of a sudden I realize she is no longer in the kitchen...where could she be??? She decided to take a stroll through the doorway and into the hallway! Mind you her car barely fits through the doorway so I'm not quite sure how she managed to get through prefectly without hitting the walls. Peyton has really taken a liking to the piano. She loves to be in the living room while daddy is practicing, but loves it even more when she gets to sit on daddy's lap and play us a little tune! Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time so that she could stay this small, but as she grows and discovers new things on a daily basis, she gets even more fun to be home with:) I can't express how grateful and blessed I am to be able to be a stay-at-home mommy!

I love him!

I just wanted to take a minute to express how grateful I am for everything that I have in my life. I was sitting in church on Sunday with my cute little family just thinking how lucky I am to have an amazing husband that works so hard to take care of us. We have a beautiful home that we love so much and beautiful things to go inside our home. Chad is the one that makes that possible. He is amazing in every way and allows us to live such a wonderful life. When he comes home from work he is so tired but regardless of that he loves to spend time with his girls! I can't imagine anything better than the three of us together!

6 months of pure joy

Our beautiful little baby turned 6 months old on Wednesday. Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital trying to figure out this whole parenting thing. Each day gets easier though that's for sure. Peyton's little personality is beginning to shine through and it is so much fun. It seems like she wants to just get up and walk around so bad, but she thankfully is not there yet.

This week we also started Peyton on rice cereal and some vegetables. Once I started putting the spoon in her mouth it was as though I couldn't keep it coming fast enough. I was surprised at how much she like it. Her experience with the sweet potatoes was the same, it couldn't get to her mouth quick enough. Maybe she feels like she has been missing out just having a bottle for so long!

It honestly is so hard to think of what our life was like before little miss Peyton joined our family! She has brought so much happiness into our home it is amazing. She really makes being a mom so much fun.

The Christmas Season of 2009

The Leavitt family had an amazing Christmas this year! It was so much fun to celebrate this special time of year with your new little baby Peyton. Not that Peyton truly knew what was going on and that she was even getting presents, but it was still fun for Chad and I to experience this with her. She made out like a bandit that's for sure! Between us and Peyton's grandparent's she made out with a huge load of toys and clothes! We are so excited to celebrate Christmas next year! WARNING: Picture overload.....

Peyton's 1st Halloween

For Peyton's first Halloween she dressed up as the cutest little flower ever! Even though she didn't get to trick-or-treat it was pretty fun to see how cute she was with this little costume on. Next year will be even more fun when she gets to go trick-or-treating.

Uncle Jordan came down for the weekend! He loves his little niece so much, I love it!

THE CUTEST FLOWER EVER!!!!

We carved pumpkins with Chad's family the Monday before Halloween. Our pumkin is the "Trick or Treat" one, which happens to be the best pumpkin Chad has ever carved!

Weekend Getaway

During the middle of October we had the opportunity to fly to Monetery, CA. This trip was my first time in a private jet, which let me tell you was amazing. After flying like that I don't want to fly commercial anymore! I know, unless I have a secret stash of money that will never happen again. I never realized how much baggage a baby requires. Flying commercial would have cost us so much extra because of the amount of luggage we had. It was quite embarrassing!
Chad has an old friend that is attending law school up there so we were able to stay with him and tour around Carmel Valley, Monterey, and even drive up to San Jose. We visited the Haunted Winchester house in San Jose which was rather interesting. We had a great little "first family vacation" with Peyton. She was absolutely phenomenal on our trip, she did very well.

Peyton and Chad relaxing on our way in to Monterey.

The Lone Cypress on the 17-mile drive in Pebble Beach.

We had to capture our very sexy rental car. A very large Mercury Grand Marquis. Chad wanted to come home and get rid of my Yukon and purchase me one of these bad boys. I told him there was no way that was going to happen!

Peyton was very intrigued by the window and everything out there.

We took a little drive in to Big Sur and went over the Bixby Bridge. I guess it has been around since the 1930's.

The whole family in front of the fun little plane we flew on.

We had such a fun time on our little weekend getaway!

Happy Peyton

Peyton is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. She can be sitting in her "lazy boy chair" (that's what Chad calls her bouncy chair) and just smile at nothing. I love when she smiles so hard her eyes close, which is a trait she inherited from her Grandpa Randy! She is starting to make little laughing noises that melt my heart!

Britt's Birthday

I just had a birthday on the 7th of Oct. and was able to share it with my family. Chad took me out to dinner on Tuesday while Grandma Cindy watched Peyton for us. This was our first date together since having Peyton. Although we missed her, it was nice to have time with just the two of us. Wednesday both of our families came over for cake. It is such a blessing that my family and Chad's family are so close and that everyone is friends and gets along so well. I now have another year under my belt!

Peyton's Blessing Day

Peyton's blessing day was the beginning of September, but since I am new at the whole blogging thing I am posting now. Chad did such a great job with her blessing. We had so much family that was there to share in the special day with us, it really was a special event. My little angel looked so beautiful in her dress!
